History

Lapierre played for the PEI Rocket in the QMJHL under former Canadiens coach Alain Vigneault.

One of three Canadiens prospects who played together in PEI, including Cory Urquhart and Michael Lambert, Lapierre was very consistent with his play all season long in 2004-05, despite playing for a young team lacking in top notch offensive talent. Played in all situations there.

Talent Analysis

Plays an intense, gritty game, and a strong all round game. Has top notch skating and speed with decent size, is a player that knows what it takes to win.
