Patrick Zackrisson

Prospect Grade: 5.0 D  (About Prospect Grades)

History

2006-07: He had a successful season with 16 goals and 18 assists in 29 games for Rogle of the Swedish junior first division. He also represented Sweden at the World Junior Championships this past winter, scoring one goal and one assist. The 20-year-old will move to Linkoping of the Swedish Elite League for the 2007-08 season.

Talent Analysis

Zackrisson plays a mature two-way style and with good hockey sense.

Future

The late-bloomer showed that the offensive abilities he displayed in junior hockey could translate to a men’s league. However, he must prove he can continue scoring at the highest level in order to be of use to the Sharks in the future.  He will be allowed to continue his development for a couple of seasons in the Swedish Elite League before signing an NHL contract. If he continues progress, he will be capable of playing third line role in the future.
