History
2009-10: Baillargeon scored 15 goals with 30 assists as a freshman at Cushing Academy in Massachusetts. He was selected by the Indiana Ice in the 17th round (250th overall) of the 2010 USHL Entry Draft.
2010-11: Baillargeon had an outstanding sophomore season for Cushing Academy. In 30 games he scored 30 goals with 34 assists. He committed to playing college hockey at Boston University in 2013-14.
2011-12: Baillargeon skated for the Indiana Ice in the USHL rather than returning to Cushing for his junior year. Baillargeon was the third-leading scorer for the Ice, finishing with 14 goals and 34 assists, and was minus-one with 36 penalty minutes in 54 games. In six playoff games he scored 4 goals with 2 assists and was plus-seven with 2 penalty minutes. Indiana swept Dubuque but were then swept by defending champ Green Bay in the East Conference finals. Baillargeon was invited to the NHL Draft Combine and ranked 50th amongst North American skaters in Central Scouting's final rankings prior to the 2012 NHL Draft.
Talent Analysis
Baillargeon is an agitating forward with decent size and some offensive ability. He plays with a fair amount of energy and is not shy about getting in the face of the opposition. Baillargeon handles the puck well and has an effective shot, but his strength on offense lies mostly in his playmaking ability. His defensive play is adequate, but could use some improvement if his ultimate role is more as a two-way forward.
Future
Baillargeon will attend Boston University beginning in the fall of 2012.
