A few highly-touted Philadelphia Flyers prospects have left the junior ranks to join the professional levels, joining the Phantoms in their first season at Lehigh Valley. Both Scott Laughton and Anthony Stolarz made the jump from major junior to the AHL in the offseason. Laughton is regarded as Philadelphia’s top prospect, while Stolarz is the team’s top goalkeeper prospect.

Through the first five weeks of the 2014-15 season, there have been plenty of surprises in the AHL‘s Eastern Conference, including fast starts by rookies David Pastrnak and Chase Balisy and by teams who struggled last season such as the Worcester Sharks and Hartford Wolf Pack. Read more»

The Philadelphia Flyers used the 2014 NHL Draft to add to their main area of depth – defense. The Flyers also added some forwards and picked up several underrated players who may turn out to be draft day steals.
