2008-09: In 63 games with the Milwaukee Admirals, Dietrich scored 4 goals and 15 assists for 19 points. He also skaed in 11 playoff games, scoring 1 goal and 7 assists.

2009-10: Dietrich scored 6 goals and 37 assists for 43 points in 79 AHL with Milwaukee. He added 1 assist in 2 playoff appearances. Dietrich also represented Germany at the World Championships, where he skated in 9 games but did not score.

2011-12: Dietrich tragically perished in an airplane crash with fellow Lokomotiv Yaraslavl teammates on September 7th, 2011.

Talent Analysis

Dietrich is becoming hard to ignore as a prospect, as his lackluster performance in Germany has somehow morphed into solid point production in Milwaukee. Dietrich is small for a defenseman, and as a result plays a more offensive game since he cannot always take the physical toll. He has a strong point shot coupled with high quality passing ability.

Future

Dietrich's performance in Milwaukee this upcoming season will determine whether he is a non-prospect, or a force to be reckoned with.
