Talent Analysis

Derlyuk is a tall defenseman who has shown serious progression over the last couple of years. He is not flashy, and prefers to keep play simple, but he has some offensive ability to go with his defensive mindset.

Future

A defensive defenseman, and once considered a project player, Derlyuk has steadily improved his play in the KHL, and recently signed a one-year contract with the Panthers. Florida staff will get a look at him in training camp, and there is an outside chance that he could make the team this fall.
