Ryan Donally

Prospect Grade: 5.5 C  (About Prospect Grades)

History

The 2003-04 season was a tough one for Donally as a year-long bout with mononucleosis kept him on the sidelines for much of the campaign. Despite playing over 20 fewer games this season, he still nearly topped his point total from his draft year, a promising sign.

He's a fighter and will be looking to come back strong and prove his worth to both the Windsor Spitfires and the Flames brass.

Talent Analysis

What he does do he does well. He's a heart and soul guy, a classic Sutter player. He sacrifices himself for the team and takes any assignment given to him, then goes out and busts his butt shift in and shift out. He has all the makings of a fan favorite.  At 6'4, 215 lbs. he already has an NHL body and has room to add another 10-20 pounds over the next few years.
