Ryan Hamilton

History

Hamilton is coming off his best season with the Barrie Colts of the OHL. In 2005-06 he notched 46 goals and 72 points. His previous two seasons with Barrie were plagued with injuries; he appeared in only 83 games tallying 51 points.

Signed as a free agent, July 2006.

2007-08: This season was Hamilton’s second both as a pro and as a member of the Houston Aeros (AHL). He netted his first goal of the season in a 6-5 shootout win at San Antonio on Oct. 19, plus the shootout-winning goal. In 72 games with the club, he finished the regular season with a +13 plus/minus rating and 39 points (20g+19a). He scored one goal in two playoff games with the Aeros.  Traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2008.

Talent Analysis

Hamilton is big forward at 6’3, 219 lbs. The Ontario native flashed his scoring skills in 2005-06 enjoying the best year of his junior hockey career.

Future

Hamilton is playing for the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.
