For Team Canada, the 2014 World Junior Championship played out very much as last year's U20 WJC ended up, with Canada going home as the fourth place team and no hardware in hand. And just like the 2013 event, it was Russia that defeated Canada to take the bronze medal, this time with a 2-1 win.

While most of the Team Canada squad taking part in the 2014 World Junior Championship is made up of players drafted by NHL clubs, there is a couple of exceptions on this year's roster. One of those exceptions is forward Sam Reinhart, who plays for the Kootenay Ice of the WHL.

Back in June, the Western Hockey League saw 33 of its players selected at the NHL Draft in New Jersey. With the NHL festivities set for Philadelphia in 2014, scouting personnel are busy perusing the current WHL talent pool.

No news is good news if you're Kootenay Ice center Sam Reinhart, at least when it comes to the ISS Hockey December rankings for the 2014 NHL Draft. Reinhart is holding steady as the top-ranked prospect for the coming year's draft, a position he has held in these rankings for the four releases that ISS Hockey has produced in the 2013 portion of this season.

It's a new month for the ISS Hockey 2014 NHL Draft rankings, but the names at the very top of the November rankings remain unchanged from the October version.
