History

2010-11: Fejes played in the Upper Midwest Elite League in the fall and skated for Shattuck-St. Mary's in the winter season. Fejes skated in 49 games and scored 14 goals with 14 assists and 12 penalty minutes. Shattuck captured the US Tier 1 U18 National Championship.

2011-12: Fejes was the second leading-scorer for Shattuck in his second season in Faribault. In 55 games he scored 38 goals with 40 assists and had 20 penalty minutes. In six games at the Tier 1 U18 Championship he scored 4 goals with 4 assists as Shattuck again won a national championship. Fejes committed to playing at Colorado College in 2012-13. He was ranked 91st amongst North American skaters in Central Scouting's final rankings prior to the 2012 NHL Draft.

 

Talent Analysis

A slick offensive player with some nice one-on-one skill, Fejes posseses good outside speed and a willingness to drive to the net.

 

Future

Considered to still be quite raw, Fejes is off to Colorado College where he hopes to bring the same dynamic ability he showed in high school to the college ranks.

Thanks to most of their NCAA prospects recently making the jump to professional hockey, the Phoenix Coyotes do not have a large number of European and collegiate prospects. Fortunately for them, the ones they do have continue to get better with each passing season. From adjusting in their freshman seasons to being introduced to the European professional leagues, most of these prospects enjoyed successful seasons in 2012-13.

The Phoenix Coyotes prospect pool is loaded with players who are already playing professional hockey. Most of these players are playing for the Coyotes’ AHL affiliate team, the Portland Pirates. With the Pirates recently clinching a playoff spot, these prospects will gain valuable post-season experience early on in their careers.

As has been the case over the past few years, the Phoenix Coyotes prospect pool is built around their strong group of defensive prospects. Elite talents like Keith Yandle and Oliver Ekman-Larsson quickly became franchise cornerstones and gave way to a new crop led by the likes of first-round studs Brandon Gormley, David Rundblad, and Connor Murphy.

Although the lockout might cause some disappointment for Brandon Gormley and David Rundblad, two players on the cusp of full-time NHL duty, there is still the good news of them being able to further develop their high-level skills in the AHL. Gormley and Rundblad along with fellow Phoenix Coyotes prospects playing in the Europe, junior and the NCAA still have a full season ahead to prove their worth as prospects, regardless of the situation with the NHL.
