History
After a promising start to his collegiate career, McCulloch suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in late November. He played in just eleven games prior to the injury, racking up seven points (four goals, three assists).
His best performance came back on November 19th versus Michigan Tech, where he notched his first career hat-trick in helping to lead the Tigers to a 6-1 win.
Prior to arriving at Colorado College, McCulloch played with the Grand Prairie Storm (AJHL), where he finished the 2003-04 season with 71 points (35 goals, 36 assists).
Talent Analysis
McCulloch is power forward who is outstanding around the net. He has good size with decent upper body strength. He is tenacious and doesn’t shy away from the physical aspects of the game. McCulloch is a strong skater who has excellent foot speed. He possesses a long reach that he uses quite well to his advantage. He drives to the net hard and often and is willing to pay the price to make the play in front of it. McCulloch possesses a quick shot. His outstanding puck skills and good vision allows him to set-up his teammates as well as create good scoring opportunities for himself. McCulloch also possesses a great work ethic.
Future
McCulloch is currently in his sophomore season at Colorado College. His future role with the Chicago organization is still unknown as he has a great deal of development still to go.
