Sean Bergenheim has played in Jokerit system for the last few seasons.
2001-02: He has made his SM-liiga debut with some promising play, scored twice in 11 games. Bergenheim played in U18 World Championship. Bergenheim was chosen in the first round, 22nd overall, of the 2002 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders.
2002-03: Bergenheim saw limited action with the Continental Cup-winning Jokerit squad. Had an outstanding tournamnet with Finland at the 2002 WJC in Halifax, where he was Player of the Game in the team's opener and matched his season's production during the tournament.
2006-07: Bergenheim played with three teams last season – Yaroslavl Lokomotiv in Russia, Frolunda in Sweden and Team Finland at the World Championships. He spent five games with Yaroslavl, scoring one goal, three assists for four points and collecting 24 penalty minutes. During his time with Frolunda, Bergenheim played in 36 games, notching 16 goals, 17 assists for 33 points to go along with a feisty 80 penalty minutes. And while representing Team Finland, Bergenheim played in two games, putting in one goal, two assists for three points and just six penalty minutes.
Bergenheim is fast and quite a strong player although he isn't very big. He has good puckhandling skill. He is more of a speedster than playmaker.
