History

Hynes finished second in scoring among all Big Red freshmen with 20 points (11goals, 9 assists).

Hynes was a surprise signing during the summer of 2005. Entering his senior year at Cornell University, he chose instead to leave the Big Red and sign with the Ducks.

Talent Analysis

Combines tough gritty play with great offensive skills. He has great size. Sees time on the power play. Has the ability to get into position and let his hard shot go quickly and accurately. Has power forward potential and isn't afraid of the rough stuff.
