History

2007-08: Della Rovere played in 68 games for Barrie (OHL), where he led the team with 171 PIM. He also ranked fifth in scoring, recording 32 points (13+19) on the season. Was drafted in the 7th round, 204th overall by Washington.

2008-09: Posted 1 goal and 1 assists while playing for Canada in the WJC. While playing in the OHL he posted 27 goals and 24 assists in 57 games. He also registered 146 penalty minutes. After his OHL season was complete he was assigned to Carolina of the ECHL where he posted 1 assists and 6 penalty minutes in 2 games.

2009-10: Posted 3 goals and 3 assists for Canada in the WJC. While playing for Barrie in the OHL, he psoted 18 goals, 23 assists, a plus-18 rating, and 125 penalty minutes. Was traded to St. Louis in July of 2010.

Talent Analysis

Della Rovere will score goals, but he's best known for his chippy, bordering on dirty, play.  At the NHL level, he'd likely be a fourth-liner.
