History

2006-07: The Grand Rapids, MN native finished second on Minnesota-Duluth in scoring with 29 points (six goals, 23 assists). His 23 assists also led the team. Wagner's stellar performance earned him a selection to the All-WCHA Third Team.  He played 14 games with Peoria after his NCAA season concluded, and piled up points at the Traverse City Prospect Tournament that the Blues participated in.

Left college hockey after his junior season to sign a free agent contract with the St. Louis Blues.

2007-08: Wagner split time between St. Louis and Blues affiliate Peoria (AHL) this season. In 24 appearances with the Blues, he notched two goals and six assists, including one power-play goal. He finished the season with the Rivermen, a productive 23 games for the defenseman; he tallied five goals and seven assists in his time with Peoria.
