History

After a couple of injury-plagued campaigns trying to crack Jokerit's senior roster, Maki finally made the jump in 2003-04 and performed admirably, especially considering he spent much of the year playing out of position due to the club's injury problems up the middle.

Talent Analysis

While Maki does have an admirable skill set, his greatest asset is his versatility. He is able to adapt to and play in almost any situation. This ability was on full display in the 2003-04 season as Jokerit bounced him around the line up, playing him on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines as both a C and a RW.

Maki is smart, hard working player and was fortunate enough to survive the 2003-04 campaign relatively injury free after battling through knee and concussion problems in previous seasons.
