History
2006-07: Erstad spent most of the campaign playing high school hockey with Stevens Point in Wisconsin. He was a goal-scoring machine during this time, finding the back of the net 22 times in just 20 games. At the conclusion of the high school season, Erstad joined the Lincoln Stars of the USHL. He played 11 games with the Stars, scoring one goal.
2007-08: This was Erstad’s fist full season with the Lincoln Stars (USHL). This was a season of learning for the center, but he still managed to record 19 points (9g+10a) in 52 games with the squad. He showed that he can be a gritty player, using his size to rack up 104 PIM. Another eight postseason games yielded another goal and two assists. He is currently playing at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point.
Talent Analysis
A point-producing forward would best describe Erstad. He is crafty while carrying the puck, and uses his good skating ability to create open space on the ice. He is also a capable passer, often setting up his linemates for goals of their own.
