History
2008-09: Victor Rask played for the Leksand club this season. In 26 games for the J-18 squad, he scored 9 goals and added 6 assists for 15 points. Rask also played for the U-16 squad, scoring 3 goals and adding 7 assists for 10 points. He also competed for the J-18 squad, scoring 4 goals and adding 4 assists for 8 points in 4 games. In 6 playoff games, he scored 3 goals and added 2 assists for 5 points. Rask played for Sweden at the 2011 U-18 World Junior Championship, scoring 2 goals and adding 3 assists for 5 points in 6 games for the silver medalists. He was named one of the top 3 players for Sweden in the tournament.
2011-12: Rask was impressive in his first season in North America; scoring at a nearly point-per-game pace for the WHL's Calgary Hitmen and winning a gold medal with Sweden in the 2012 U20 World Junior Championship. He scored 33 goals with 30 assists and was plus-seven with 21 penalty minutes in 64 games before suffering a late season leg injury that kept him out of the WHL playoffs. Fourteen of his 33 goals were scored on the Calgary power play. In six games at the WJC he had 1 assist and was minus-one with 6 penalty minutes. Sweden defeated Russia in the gold medal game.
Future
Rask appeared in 10 games for the Charlotte Checkers before returning to the Calgary Hitmen for the balance of the 2012-13 season.
