History
The third of three goaltenders selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Ville Hostikka is currently on an SM-Liiga track in his native Finland. Last season, he started for SaiPa's top junior team. He also started for Finland at the Under-18 World Cup last summer.
Talent Analysis
Hostikka plays deep in his net and swallows up a lot of net in close. He has shown some resilience in his young career, recovering nicely from a frightful 9-1 beating at the hands of Canada at the Under-18 World Cup.
