2008-09: Vladislav Namestnikov played for Khimik Voskresensk-2 in the Russian junior league. He played for Russia at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, scoring 8 goals and adding 2 assists for 10 points in 5 games.
2009-10: In 26 games for Khimik Voskresensk, Namestnikov scored 11 goals and added 6 assists for 17 points. Namestnikov played for Russia at the 2010 U-18 World Junior Championship, scoring 5 goals and adding 2 assists for 7 points in 7 games. Namestnikov was chosen in the first round, 20th overall, of the 2010 CHL Import Draft by the OHL's London Knights.
2010-11: In his OHL rookie season, Namestnikov played in 68 games for the London Knights. He scored 30 goals and added 38 assists for 68 points. Namestnikov played for Team Orr at the 2011 CHL Home Hardware Top Prospects Game, picking up 1 assist in his team's 7-1 win over Team Cherry. 2011-12: Namestnikov was the second-leading scorer for OHL champion London in his second season with the Knights. A surprising late cut from the Russian U20 team that played in the 2012 World Junior Championship, he scored 22 goals with a team-high 49 assists and was plus-15 with 50 penalty minutes in 63 games for the Knights. London had the OHL's best record in the regular season and rolled through the playoffs. Namestnikov scored 4 goals with 14 assists and was plus-10 with 18 penalty minutes in 19 playoff games. He scored 2 goals and was minus-three in four games at the Memorial Cup tournament.
