History

Captain of the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL for the past two seasons. Named two years in a row as the team’s Academic Player of the Year.

After being drafted, he attended the Oilers first ever top prospects camp in 2003 and followed that up by training with power skating coach Liane Davis in Regina.

Pledged to lead Sudbury to the postseason in 2003-04 and delivered, then guaranteed a win in round one and scored the game winning OT goal to complete that objective too.

Finished the 2003-04 season with the Toronto Roadrunners on an Amateur Tryout Contract. Played 1 regular season game and 3 playoff matches.

Immediately after the 2004 rookie camp, the Oilers signed Stortini to a new three year entry level contract.

Split time between Iowa and Milwaukee of the AHL in 2005-06.

Stortini Interview from Nov. 2003: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article.php?sid=6433

A very strong power forward who is the polar opposite on the ice from his kind demeanor away from the rink. The rough aspects of the game are some of Strotini's best assets but the big winger can also score.
