The St. Louis Blues currently possess one of the deepest prospects pools in the NHL. While names like Vladimir Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz find their place with the NHL club, the future still remains bright for the Blues. More specifically, the Blues have a tremendous crop of young talent playing at the junior level who have demonstrated the potential to play at the professional level.

The St. Louis Blues are one of few teams to have assets at every position. While the level of skill and potential role could be quite different between each player, the fact remains that the Blues have one of the best crop of players heading into the 48-game NHL season.

The St. Louis Blues have benefited from recent NHL Draft selections and their success in finding NHL-bound stars will likely continue. With the lockout in full swing, many prospects have been given extra time to hone their skills at other levels of hockey. Furthermore, at the mid-season juncture of the CHL, many of the Blues prospects have been proving why they were worthy draft selections.

The St. Louis Blues prospect system is led by a pair of potential top-line forwards in Russian winger Vladimir Tarasenko and Saskatchewan native Jaden Schwartz. Both are dynamic players capable of piling up the points and it should not be long before the duo is lighting the lamps for the Blues.
