2015 NHL Draft Review: Czech Republic goaltenders in demand at this year’s draft

Despite a year that didn’t see the Czech Republic get much done internationally at the junior level, the 2015 NHL Draft saw a total of 11 Czech players taken by NHL teams, albeit the top three of Pavel Zacha (6th overall), Jakub Zboril (13th), and Filip Chlapik (48th) having spent this past season strutting their stuff in North America. The 2010 Edmonton Oilers draft class is somewhat of an enigma. Aside from Taylor Hall, who was and has been an obvious lock for NHL success, the rest who followed have remained question marks for the Oilers. 2015 NHL Draft: Oilers shore up blueline with Reinhart acquisition

The Edmonton Oilers acquired Griffin Reinhart from the New York Islanders during the 2015 NHL Draft in exchange for the 16th and 33rd overall picks. The move gives Edmonton a defenseman who is three years further along in his development than if they had used the 16th pick to acquire one.
