The Columbus Blue Jackets spent four of their six selections in the 2009 NHL Draft stocking up defenders. Of those defensemen, top pick John Moore (NYR) and third round selection David Savard are both in the NHL, while Thomas Larkin and Anton Blomqvist, as expected, are going to need a bit more time to develop.

Erie Otters goaltender Oscar Dansk seems to have taken his game to another level this season in the OHL, as have his teammates. Dasnk's improvement has carried over into the 2014 World Junior Championship, where he is an integral part of Sweden's undefeated run to the tournament's semi-finals.

The Springfield Falcons, the AHL affiliate for the Columbus Blue Jackets, are once again fielding a strong group of players and are at the top of the AHL's Northeast Division. Springfield is loaded with NHL quality prospects, many of whom have already seen some time in Columbus.
