The field has been whittled down to four countries at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship. The teams still standing – Canada, the United States, Finland and host Switzerland – will take the ice on Saturday in the two semifinal games taking place at Bossard Arena in Zug, Switzerland. Team Finland has moved on to a semifinal showdown with host Switzerland at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship. The Finns advanced after shutting out Slovakia, 3-0, while the Swiss blanked the Russians, 5-0, to earn a shot at a medal. The two countries will faceoff on Saturday in Zug, Switzerland. Read more»

Finland has made an impressive run so far through the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, winning their first three games while outscoring their opponents, 12 goals to 3. The Finns must now defeat Canada for Group B supremacy in their final game before the U18 playoff round. Read more»

Team Finland has had a successful start to the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship taking place in Zug and Lucerne, Switzerland. The Finns have won their first three games of the tournament, and are currently tied with Canada for the top spot in Group B. The two countries will square off Tuesday to determine which one will enter the playoff round as that group’s top squad. Read more»

The 2014-15 season has been a difficult one for Finland‘s U18 team. Both at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in August and in the most recent Five Nations Tournament, the squad has been uncharacteristically charitable in giving up scoring opportunities and have left their goaltenders out to dry at times.
