This season, Atlantic Hockey is the only conference without NHL prospects. Nevertheless, the conference features a number of players that are well worth a look.

2014-15 Big Ten Preview: Strong Minnesota squad positioned to repeat

For the 2014-15 season, Big Ten hockey features 44 NHL prospects. All six member teams have at least two prospects on their rosters. Minnesota leads both the Big Ten and the nation with 15 NHL prospects. Read more»

The 2014-15 season in the WCHA gets fully underway this weekend. Ferris State University was the 2013-14 regular season conference champion, while Minnesota State-Mankato was the winner in the WCHA Final Five tournament. Five of the six NCAA conferences feature a number of NHL prospects this season. Of those five, the WCHA has the fewest with 12 representing five member teams. Minnesota State-Mankato leads all WCHA teams with five prospects followed by Michigan Tech with four. Read more»

The race to claim the mantle of first overall selection for the 2015 NHL Draft has officially begun in earnest with the start of the 2014-15 season. The main combatants for that honor, Erie Otters center Connor McDavid and Boston University forward Jack Eichel, have both seen game action within the past week and will be closely scrutinized by NHL scouts from now through April or May.
