The University of Minnesota completed the four-team field that will be headed to Philadelphia in two weeks for the 2014 NCAA Frozen Four after a dominating 4-0 performance against intra-state rival St. Cloud State University in the West Regional final on Sunday night.

A day after Boston College’s top line went off for six goals, it was second-line winger Ryan Fitzgerald and bottom-pairing defenseman Ian McCoshen who were the difference makers.

University of Notre Dame freshman Vince Hinostroza was one of the nation’s top NCAA rookies this season. The Bartlett, IL native led the Fighting Irish in rookie scoring with 32 points (eight goals, 24 assists) in 34 games.

Defense comes first for Huskies’ Storm

At 6’6” and 220 pounds, St. Cloud State University freshman defenseman Ben Storm is one of the biggest players in all of NCAA college hockey. But, in addition to providing a towering presence, Storm has also been a steady defensive defenseman on the Huskies' blueline this season. The Laurium, MI native has played in 30 games so far, posting one assist.
