Bloodlines may or may not make a difference in hockey, but the New York Islanders might think so as they used the fourth overall selection at the 2012 NHL Draft on Edmonton Oil Kings defenseman Griffin Reinhart.

Edmonton Oil Kings defenseman Griffin Reinhart had a season to remember, one that included a WHL championship and a trip to the Memorial Cup Tournament. But the best will be saved for last, with Reinhart likely to be a high draft pick at next week's 2012 NHL Draft.

Below is the final part of Hockey's Future's 2012 Spring Organizational Rankings. The rankings were determined by taking each NHL team's entire prospect pool into consideration as well as the likelihood those prospects are to meet their maximum potential. For reference, each team's top five prospects are included, as well as the players they have graduated, traded, or added to their pool over the 2011-12 season. To be eligible, a player must meet HF's prospect criteria. The rankings are done twice each season, in the fall and spring.

Years of stockpiling high draft picks has started to pay off for the Islanders, something that is demonstrated in the inaugural edition of their prospect awards.
