The prospects of eight NHL teams arrived in Traverse City, MI late last week for five days of intense competition and to showcase their skills at the 2014 Traverse City Prospects Tournament. Futures from the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues took to the ice starting Friday and will continue to battle until the championship game on Tuesday evening. Six new players have been added to the New York Rangers top 20 prospect list this fall. Those include four players drafted in June and two that were signed as free agents since last spring.

The New York Rangers went into the 2014 NHL Draft with only four selections, in the second through fifth rounds. During the draft, New York made trades to add two additional picks, giving the Rangers seven selections for the first time since 2009.
