He’s the kind of player you love to play with, but hate to play against. He’ll get under your opponent’s skin, and do the ugly things it takes to win championships. He’ll be a regular guest of the penalty box, but also chip in with the odd, timely goal. If it sounds like four-time Stanley Cup champion Claude Lemieux, it’s for good reason — his son, Brendan Lemieux, is blazing his own trail in hockey by following a similar path.

His brother may be four years older — and a couple of inches taller — but if you see a similarity between Sudbury Wolves’ blueliner Evan de Haan and his brother, New York Islanders’ 2009 first-rounder Calvin de Haan, it’s by design.

Move to Sudbury a positive one for Wolves’ Crisp

Over the summer, Connor Crisp added a couple more jerseys to his collection, being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens and being part of an early September trade to Sudbury. But far from being thrown to the Wolves, Crisp said the transition has been more positive than he could have imagined.
