The Fall edition of the Hockey’s Future ranking of the Top 50 NHL prospects begins with the prospects ranked 41 thru 50. This group features several prospects on the verge of cracking an NHL roster on a full-time basis, including several picks from the 2014 NHL Draft who have impressed early on.

The 2014 NHL preseason is now in the books with the 30 NHL clubs now focusing on the start of the 2014-15 regular season that begins on Wednesday night. The final weekend of preseason action provided a few notable NHL prospect performances, but the real test for these young players begins in two days. Read more»

Recent draftees add depth for St. Louis Blues in 2014-15

After a season with only a few high-end prospects in their system, the St. Louis Blues will enjoy a  deeper prospect pipeline heading into the 2014-15 season. A major help in replenishing the prospect pool was the 2014 NHL Draft, where the Blues made 10 picks, including six in the first four rounds. With the current depth on the Blues’ roster, many of their prospects will spend time at other levels of hockey to improve their overall game.

As the 2014 NHL preseason winds down, the number of prospects remaining with the big club has dwindled, as well. So, despite a night in which there were seven NHL games to choose from, only a handful of NHL prospects in those games stood out.
