With a consistent push of drafted prospects graduating to the American Hockey League this past summer, the Toronto Maple Leafs farm team has seen an overhaul to its core and is sporting a more youthful look.

Team Canada will again be competing for a bronze medal at the World Junior Championship, and their opponent will be a familiar one. Russia landed in the battle for bronze by virtue of their 2-1 loss to Sweden, which marks the second straight year that the Russians and Canadians have faced off in the third-place tilt.

The hosts of the 2014 World Junior Championship went a perfect 4-0 in the preliminary round, as Sweden dispatched Russia in their final game of the round, 3-2. The win sends the Swedes to a quarterfinal match against Slovakia on Thursday in Malmo, Sweden.

The Toronto Maple Leafs' dynamic duo of Connor Brown and Carter Verhaeghe are taking the OHL by storm this season. The two are among the most offensively gifted prospects in the Maple Leafs system, though both still have ways to go before becoming NHL players.
