The Western Conference’s North Division is another AHL division with a new team as the Calgary Flames moved their AHL club from Abbotsford, BC to Glens Falls, NY. The now Adirondack Flames are in the North Division, while the Lake Erie Monsters have been moved to the Midwest Division. Read more»

The Fall edition of the Hockey’s Future ranking of the Top 50 NHL prospects continues with the prospects ranked 21-30. This particular section of the rankings is led by 2014 NHL Draft pick Michael Dal Colle, one of several recent draft picks to make their top 50 debut.

The 2014 NHL preseason is now in the books with the 30 NHL clubs now focusing on the start of the 2014-15 regular season that begins on Wednesday night. As NHL clubs continue the pruning of their rosters in preparation for the 2014-15 season, the inevitable result is more ice time for veterans tuning up for the coming campaign which leads to fewer opportunities to shine for the younger NHL prospects. So, while there was still a busy slate of 2014 NHL preseason games played between Friday and Sunday, there were not as many notable prospect performances to choose from as there had been in the earliest days of the preseason.
