Team USA faced a game Finland squad in the gold medal game at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, but the U.S. had just enough in the tank, plus an overtime hero, to come out on top, 2-1. North American rivals Canada and the USA squared off in a semifinal match at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship in what was viewed by some as the gold medal matchup.
