The U.S. completed the preliminary round of the 2014 IIHF U18 World Championship as the top team in Group B. Team USA accomplished this feat on the strength of three consecutive wins after an opening loss to Switzerland.

The offensive leader for the U.S. so far in this tournament has been forward Sonny Milano. The Boston College recruit currently sits among the top 10 U18 scorers, having notched two goals and four assists in the four games played.

Milano spent the 2013-14 season playing for the U.S. NTDP. In 25 USHL games, Milano scored 14 goals and added 25 assists for 39 points. This is Milano's draft year, with the talented forward likely to be chosen in the first round of the 2014 NHL Draft.

Hockey's Future spoke with Milano following his country's win over the Czech Republic, a conversation captured in this HF video.
