It took him five games in the 2014-15 season and 28 NHL games overall, but Dallas Stars defenseman Jamie Oleksiak finally netted his first NHL goal. The goal opened the scoring in a game that would end in a 4-3 overtime loss for the Stars at the hands of the St. Louis Blues.

Oleksiak took a pass from Tyler Seguin and fired home a shot from the point past a screened Brian Elliott.

Oleksiak spent most of the past two seasons playing for the Stars’ AHL farm club, the Texas Stars, which includes last season’s run to the Calder Cup championship.
