When you’re a country placed in the same grouping as Canada and the USA – two especially talented squads this time around – it can be a tough road to hoe. Such is the case for Finland, Slovakia and Germany at the 2015 World Junior Championship as they do battle in Group A along with those two perennial powers in their quest to earn a medal at this tournament.

In part two of this Hockey’s Future podcast with Marc Lapointe, Head Scout in Quebec for ISS Hockey, we discuss the three countries not covered in the first podcast. Finland, Slovakia, and Germany hold the bottom three slots in Group A, and all three have suffered through disappointing starts at the 2015 WJC. The discussion centers around the first weekend of action and touches on players such as Mikko Rantanen, Jesse Puljujarvi, and Denis Godla.
