While Group B at the 2015 World Junior Championship is competing at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Group A is displaying their talents at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Sweden and Russia are the two hockey powers heading that group of five countries that also includes the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Denmark.

For this Hockey’s Future podcast, I spoke with ISS Hockey scout and former NHL goaltender Phil Myre, where he discussed some of the players that he watched in the games that took place on Monday. Part one of this podcast covers the game between the Czech Republic and Denmark, a game won by the Czechs in overtime, 4-3. Players discussed in this podcast include Mads Eller, David Pastrnak, George Sorensen, and Jan Kostalek. The second part of this podcast will cover Monday’s match between Sweden and Russia.
