The preliminary round at the 2015 World Junior Championship is now completed following a slate of games that took place on New Year’s Eve. One of those games involved Finland and Germany, with the Finns moving on to the quarterfinals after a 2-0 blanking of the Germans. Germany moves on to the relegation round against Switzerland.

Joining me for another series of podcasts is ISS Hockey‘s head scout in Quebec, Marc Lapointe, who talks about the Finland-Germany showdown in this Hockey’s Future podcast. Marc discusses a few of the more notable players from that game, including Mikko Rantanen, Jesse Puljujarvi, Kevin Reich, and Frederik Tiffels.
