Des Moines Buccaneers at Sioux City Musketeers, 11/08/02 – Bucs traveled to Sioux City and kept it close, but fall to the Muskies. It was 2-0 after two periods, and Tomas Jasko scored early in the 3rd period, but the Muskies answer quickly to regain the two goal cushion and score later to make it 4-1. Bucs score late to make the final 4-2, Sioux City.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Lincoln Stars, 11/09/02 – Bucs score first with a Marty Guerin power play goal, but the Stars score the next four goals to win 4-1.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Lincoln Stars, 11/14/02 – Bucs scored first and never trailed to end their losing-streak with a 4-3 victory. Scoring for the Bucs: Marty Guerin 1 G, 2 A; Joel Kitchen 1 G, 1 A; Ryan Dingle 1 G; Kyle Bushee 1 G; Evan Stoflet 1 A; Matt Burto 1 A; Kris Bouchard 1 A.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Cedar Rapids Roughriders, 11/15/02 – Bucs always seem to struggle versus the Roughriders and this game was no different. Cedar Rapids scored three times in the second and once in the third to make it 4-0 Roughriders, before Bryce Anderson erased the goose-egg. 4-1 was the final.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Waterloo Black Hawks, 11/16/02 – Bucs build a 3-1 lead with two goals from Marty Guerin and one from Joel Kitchen with five minutes left in the 2nd period, but the Black Hawks go on and score the next five goals to win 6-3.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Lincoln Stars, 11/22/02 – Bucs keep this one close for the first 18 seconds of the game. Ryan Potulny scored at the 18 second mark to give the Stars the lead, and they never looked back, racking up eight goals and won 8-2 in Lincoln.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Chicago Steel, 11/23/02 – Bucs build a 6-3 lead with 9:42 left in the 3rd period but fall apart and fall to the Steel 8-6. Bucs had scoring from Kyle Bushee 1 A; Mike Neilon 2 A; Matt Burto 2 A; Marty Guerin 1 G; Joel Kitchen1 G, 1 A; Jamie Hoffmann 2 A; Ryan Dingle 1 G, 1 A; Bryce Anderson 1 G; Jon Rudnick 1 G; and Bob Kenworthy 1 G.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Sioux City Musketeers, 11/27/02 – Muskies come out strong and win 5-1. Bucs did manage to tie it 1-1 mid-way through the 2nd period, but the Muskies took control there after.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Green Bay Gamblers, 11/29/02 – Bucs snap their losing-streak with a 6-3 win over the Gamblers. Their power play goes 3 for 5 to help put the Bucs in the win column. Scoring for the Bucs: Kyle Bushee 1 A; Mike Neilon 1 G, 1 A; Marty Guerin 2 G, 1 A; Travis Anderson 1 A; Joel Kitchen 2 A; Jamie Hoffmann 1 G, 1 A; Tomas Jasko 1 G, 1 A; Ryan Dingle 1 A; Jon Rudnick 1 G.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Chicago Steel, 11/30/02 – Bucs put together their first back-to-back game which they got points in the standings with a 3-2 shoot-out loss to the Steel. Bucs scored first with a short-handed goal from Mike Neilon. Ryan Dingle tied the game early in the 3rd on the power play to force a shoot-out. In the shoot-out, none of the Bucs were able to score and only the first shooter for Chicago was able to get the puck past Papcun to give the Steel the win.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. River City Lancers, 12/06/02 – Lancers were without the services of Dominic Vicari who is out with a knee injury. Dan Tormey injured his shoulder early in the game that Bryce Anderson is able to put the puck over Tormey’s injured shoulder to give the Bucs the early 1-0 lead. Lancers are forced to use a goalie they just picked up this past week to be a back-up while Dominic is out. Bucs take advantage of the Lancers misfortune and score and score and score and win 5-3.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Topeka Scarecrows, 12/07/02 – Bucs put together their first winning-streak of the season with a 8-4 man-handling of the Topeka Scarecrows. Bucs score six times in the second to take a commanding 6-2 heading into the third and got two more into the net to win 8-4. Goals scoring: Marty Guerin (2 goals), Bryce Anderson, Jamie Hoffmann, Jon Rudnick, Ryan Dingle, Mike Neilon and Tomas Jasko.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Sioux Falls Stampede, 12/11/02 – This is the first time the Buccaneers-Stampede will face each other in the regular season.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Waterloo Black Hawks, 12/13/02 – Buccaneers hope Friday the 13th spells bad luck for the Black Hawks. The Black Hawks have a franchise high 10 game-winning streak.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Green Bay Gamblers, 12/14/02 – Buccaneers make their last regular season visit to Green Bay. Previously meetings against the Gamblers, 6-5 shoot-out win and a 3-1 loss back in October.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Sioux City Musketeers, 12/20/02 – This will be the Buccaneers second visit to the Audi and last game before Christmas.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Sioux Falls Stampede, 12/28/02 – Stampede pay their first visit to Des Moines this season.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Topeka Scarecrows, 12/29/02 – Buccaneers first visit to Topeka this season.
Des Moines Buccaneers vs. Chicago Steel, 12/31/02 – Annual New Year’s Eve game, this time versus the Chicago Steel who the Bucs have not beat yet this season. They are 0-1-1 against the Steel.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Tri-City Storm, 01/04/03 – Des Moines’ 30th game of the season and the first time we face the Storm this year. This will be Tri-City’s Assistant Coach, Regg Simon’s first game against his former Coach, Bob Ferguson.
Des Moines Buccaneers at Cedar Rapids Roughriders, 01/07/03 – This will be the Buccaneers final regular season visit to Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
