Mark Santorelli Named WHL Player of the Week

CALGARY, AB – The WHL Player of the Week is forward Mark Santorelli of the Chilliwack Bruins. Santorelli earned player of the week honours by scoring 2 goals and 8 points in 4 games, helping the expansion Bruins to a 3-1-0-0 record last week.

On Tuesday, October 24, Santorelli scored once and added three assists in a 5-2 win over the Saskatoon Blades at the Prospera Center in Chilliwack.

On Friday, October 27, Santorelli recorded a pair of assists for the Bruins in a 4-2 win over the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings.

On Saturday, October 28, Santorelli scored in a 3-0 shutout over the Tri-City Americans in Kennewick, WA.

On Sunday, October 29, Santorelli rounded out the week with an assist in a 4-2 Chilliwack loss in Portland.

Santorelli, a 18-year-old native of Burnaby, British Columbia is eligible for the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Honourable mention goes to goaltender Dan Spence of the Calgary Hitmen.
