Jordan Owens named the CHL Player of the Week

Toronto – The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Jordan Owens of the Mississauga IceDogs is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday November 5 after scoring four goals and five assists for nine points in three games.

Owens started the week with two goals and five points in Mississauga’s 8-2 road win over the Peterborough Petes on November 2. He scored two goals, including a shorthanded marker, to help the IceDogs to a 6-5 at home win over the Guelph Storm on November 4. He was also named first star of the game on Saturday. Owens finished his week picking up two assists in a 6-4 loss to the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors on November 5.

Peter Meuller of the Everett Silvertips was the WHL player of the week after scoring two goals and four assists in three games while Alexandre Imbeault of the Chicoutimi Sagueneens was the QMJHL’s player of the week after scoring four goals and three assists in two games.
