Kevin Lalande named ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Kevin Lalande
of the Belleville Bulls is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week
ending Sunday February 4, after posting a 3-0-0-0 record, along with a 2.67
goals against average, .940 save percentage and one shutout in three games.

Lalande, a 19-year-old from Clarence Creek, ON, returned to the Bulls’
lineup this week after a five week layoff with a broken hand. He turned
aside 35 shots and was the first star in his first game back, a 2-0 win over
the Peterborough Petes on February 1. He made 43 saves and was the first
star again in a 6-3 win over the Mississauga IceDogs on February 2 and
picked his third win in as many games when he made 52 saves in an 8-5 win
over the Owen Sound Attack on February 3.

Lalande improved his season record to 20-10-0-2 with a 3.01 goals against
average, .919 save percentage and three shutouts.

Peter Delmas of the Lewiston Maine-iacs was the QMJHL nominee after winning
all three of his starts and posting a 2.27 goals against average and ,921
save percentage while Derek Yeomans of the Seattle Thunderbirds was the WHL
nominee after a 1-1-1-0 record with a 1.98 goals against average in three

Each week the CHL recognizes the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week and will
present the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Year Award to the CHL’s top netminder
at the conclusion of the 2006-07 season.
