2007-08: The big enforcer played the majority of the season for the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL although he started the season for the WBS Penguins, playing two games in October.
Boogaard wasn’t drafted to score goals. He’s a physical force who can and is expected to mix it up. He is five inches shorter and about 30 pounds lighter than his older brother Derek, but he is still a capable enforcer. He’s also a natural athlete, having once set a provincial swimming record in his home province of Saskatchewan.
