Talent Analysis
A big, raw defenseman, Zborovskiy is an excellent competitor, with good positioning and an excellent shot. He needs to work on his skating and acceleration to make it to the NHL.
Future
Zborovskiy skated for the Regina Pats in 2015-16 in his second WHL season. He is projected to be a two-way NHL defender. Yet to sign an entry-level contract with New York — the Rangers retain his rights until June 2017 — he should continue to develop with another season in Regina. Zborovskiy is also a candidate to play for Russia in the 2017 World Junior Championship.
